According to Myjoyonline on August 18. The Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Republic of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. Said he would abolish the controversial vape tax and gambling tax if he is elected president in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at the manifesto meeting of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday (18). Bawumia articulated his government’s vision for comprehensive tax reforms to ease the financial burden on Ghanaians.
- “We will accelerate Ghana’s transformation into an African digital hub through strategic policies, incentives, and investments. This includes investing in local talent and tech startups and repealing the vape tax.”
Should he win the upcoming 2024 general elections, Bawumia also promised a more business-friendly environment.
