At the conference, PMI explained its development process, especially the turning point when it launched its first heated tobacco device in 2014. Company executives presented data on how smoking has been abandoned and converted to new tobacco products around the world, particularly in Sweden, Switzerland and Japan.

PMI presented nearly two years of research at the conference, including 37 medical institutions and 900 participants from Europe and Asia. The data showed that the health improvement of people who used new tobacco products was comparable to that of smokers, while the health of continuing smokers deteriorated significantly.
When talking about the legislation in Central Asia, the official pointed out that the local control of e-cigarettes is based on the original intention of preventing minors from accessing the product, but if suitable alternatives are not provided for adult smokers, it may lead to an increase in cigarette consumption. In this regard, PMI stressed that its products are only sold to registered adult consumers with proven smoking to ensure that the sales process is strictly controlled.
