Australia’s new commissioner vows to crack down on illegal vapes and tobacco

Australia’s new China experts have stressed that they will do their best to crack down on the growing black market industry. These industries will encourage street violence by smuggling vapes and illegal cigarettes, and turn children into nicotine addicts.

Focus on Nicotine Addiction in Children

Erin Dale, Australia’s first leading expert on vapes and illegal cigarettes, said:

  • “Together. We need to take a coordinated approach to focusing on the seizure and disruption of these networks, as well as their impact on the health and environment of our country.”

Dell plans to convene federal and state anti-crime agencies in November to map out all the loopholes that prevent the underground from exploiting them, and fundamentally crack down on their illegal operations.

  • “Every time members of the public buy illegal cigarettes or vapes, they are effectively funding organized criminals.”

Dale says organized crime aims to exploit any commodity that can bring in a profit. For now, they are targeting illegal cigarettes and vapes. The Government takes this very seriously and will do its utmost to solve the problem.

Victoria has been plagued by serious organized crime gangs fighting over the territory since March last year. With more than 71 firebomb attacks, most of them on tobacco shops. Dell women point out that other states are also very worried that this situation will flood them.

Since January this year, Australia has banned the import of single-use vapes. More than five million illegal vapes have been seized by the Australian Border Defence Department and the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

  • “This is a major achievement and the Border Department officers have worked tirelessly, they have received professional training and they have done an excellent job.”
